November Service Meeting

We have 3 projects for the November Service meeting.   Each will be tons of fun and rewarding for the girls.

The 1st and 2nd grade will be making Blessing bundles for Hope's Thanksgiving outreach.

3rd and 4th grade will be making ornaments to give to the nursing home next month.

The older girls will finish their birdfeeders from MADD.  They need another layer of paint, and the rope attached.

All girls coming need to sign up to bring some portion of the Blessings Mix.  This is a table favor that we give to every guest that comes to Thanksgiving Dinner at Hope.  This mix is a way that we have to share the gospel with people in need.

Please sign up either using the link or the right or clicking on this link:

Besides this service meeting, I need HELP!  We are gearing up for the annual Hope Thanksgiving Dinner.  For those who don't know what this is, this is a huge community outreach.  We serve a fresh, hot, homemade meal that is served to anyone who wants a place to spend the afternoon on Thanksgiving day.  Aside from American Heritage Girls, this is my major project each year and something that I just can't do without an army of helpers.  Here is how you can help:

1.  I need people on Saturday November 20 to help peel potatoes - 100 pounds
2.  I need people coming and going all day every day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday to help in the kitchen.  Please understand that the church insurance REQUIRES that all helpers be Explorer level and up to work in the kitchen.
3.  ALL girls can help with decorating and setting tables.  We will be decorating on Tuesday evening and setting tables on Wednesday.
4.  ALL girls can help with washing and drying all dishes and wrapping silverware on Tuesday afternoon and/or Wednesday morning

As you can all see, lots of help is needed.  If you can help, please email me with your availability and we will plug you in.  This is such a neat time and so much fun!  I hope many of the girls and the moms can help us out.

One more thing....  we need deserts for the dinner on Thanksgiving.  If anyone wants to make pies, cakes, cookies, brownies, anything, just let me know so we can keep track.  This is a way that someone who can't come to help physically can still help.

If you have questions, please let us know.

Blessings,
