We have three projects coming to a close at Monday's meeting. (All of these projects are optional). If your daughter is participating in any of these, please take note of the information below.
Designs for Troop Tee Shirt Due
Once again, we are having a contest to find the design for this year’s official troop tee shirt. The contest is open to every girl. The designs need to include “American Heritage Girls” & our troop number, OH3124. Girls can use clipart or original drawings and should limit their designs to 1-3 colors. Girls can include elements of the Oath, the Creed or anything else pertaining to AHG. Looking through the handbook or the official website at ahgonline.org would be a good way to get ideas! All designs must be turned in by November 8th. You may turn them in at the information table. The designs will be voted on by the leaders at the November 11th Leader Meeting.
15th Anniversary Patch Requirements Due
Requirements for the 15th Anniversary Patch are due at this Monday's meeting. You can download a copy of the requirements from the right hand side of the blog. Operation Christmas Child Boxes Due
National Collection week for Operation Christmas Child is November 15th-22nd, so Monday's meeting will be the last time we are together before they are due. Girls may drop off their boxes at the information table & sign their name on the participation sheet. If you need more time, you may also bring your boxes to Hope church during collection week. Just be sure to let Lydia know so she can add your daughter's name to the list of participants. For more information about this worldwide outreach & instruction on how to pack a box, please go to http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/Pack_A_Shoe_Box/ To print out a letter to personalize & put in your box, please go to http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/Graphic_Resources/ *This project is one that counts towards the H.U.G.S. patch. (To earn the Heritage Girls United Giving Service patch, girls must participate in three of the following events: Make a Difference Day, Operation Christmas Child, Cookies for Kairos, Scouting for Food, or the Duffel Bag Program.)
