Please make sure that you sign up to attend the Annual Family Bonfire on September 25th. We will be spending the day working on fire safety and a host of other elements. The girls will learn skits and songs, first aid, fire safety, go hiking, they will be so incredibly busy! We are also planning some fun parent activities for while the girls are doing their activities. We will have an old fashioned hot dog roast followed by s'mores with the girls doing songs and skits around the campfire. Siblings are welcome to participate in the activities.
The troop will supply paper goods, hot dogs, drinks, and chocolate for the s'mores. When you sign up, you need to bring EITHER one of the following for each girl in your family: buns, graham crackers, chips/pretzels, or marshmallows OR you can bring a large pot of chili.
If you would like to join us for camping, please let us know on the sign up page. For Explorers and above, the parents are not required to be present for camping. However, we need to know how many girls are attending without parents. I will be responsible for these girls as long as I am aware ahead of time so that I am prepared with paperwork and tents. The cost for camping is $2.50/person/night and that will be paid directly to Woodland Lakes and not the troop. I will contact individual families about the food preparation.
