Many of you have been asking about how we can reach out and support the Wiggins family at this difficult time. I have been in touch with Carolyn, and she has agreed to let us provide meals for three times per week for the foreseeable future. I have created a schedule in http://www.takethemameal.com/ enter Wiggins in the name field and the password 7952. I hope that you will go and sign up. Please sign up for as many or as few meals as you would like. This is a great opportunity for our girls to provide service to their friends who are hurting in their loss. If you just can’t get a meal to their house, if you give me enough notice, I am happy to pick up any meals at Hope and deliver them to their house. They do not live too far away from me.
I am working with Carolyn on some other areas where we can help, but as you can imagine, she is too overwhelmed to even think right now. Be on the lookout to sign up for yard work and house cleaning. They live on a couple of acres of land, so she is going to need help.
Finally, if anyone would like to make a monetary gift, we plan to take any donations you would like to make at the meeting on Monday April 30 and at the meeting on May 7. We will provide her with a gift card that can be used for whatever she wants to use it for. In lieu of flowers, we are making a donation to the girls education funds as Carolyn has requested.
Thank you all for stepping up to truly BE the hands and feet of Christ to a family that is aching deeply. It doesn’t take much to think about how any of us would feel. It is a joy to have such an awesome, supportive troop.
