On March 14, we are wrapping up our Native American badge! It has really flown by with lightning speed. Here is some important information for this meeting:
1. We need as many Explorers as possible to arrive at 4:00 to set up the teepees.
2. Please wear your hair in one of the Native American hair styles that we learned about and use the ornaments that we made during our first meeting.
3. Parents: We would love to have you stay for this meeting! We will have presentations by the Pi/Pa unit as well as displays of crafts done by all the girls. We will also be trying a variety of Native American foods. Please come see what the girls have been learning.
4. Fundraiser is due! This is extremely important! There will be NO CASH ACCEPTED, so please be prepared. Obviously we realize people have paid with cash. Please write a check for the amount of cash and turn that in. There will be absolutely NO exceptions to this!
5. All money for the Sunwatch Village trip is due at this meeting. Jessica will have a list of who is signed up to attend and accepting money. If you are using fundraiser money, Lydia will be able to tell you totals at the meeting. Please expect that this entire process will take time, so come and join the girls while you wait. You will also have an opportunity to sign up for the Sunwatch trip if you have missed the online sign up.
6. Explorers: Bring in your completed Shawnee books and show them to your leaders. If you have already had your leader approve your book, bring it anyway as part of our display for parents to see what you have learned.
This will be a very busy meeting. We hope that you will all help us to avoid and minimize confusion in completing this process.
Blessings,
Cynthia – Coordinator
