Troop Camping, Bonfire, T-Shirts, and more

The signup date for troop camping has been extended by one week to September 27.  Please go to signup helper at http://www.helpersignup.com/viewsheet.php?type=2&sheet=452bd9c9ecf3f7c83601c67b0a10cbaa  We want to make this an amazing, memorable experience for every girl in our troop.  We will have devotions in the evenings, a small worship service on Sunday morning, badge work, hiking, games, and so much more.  It is our goal for every girl in our troop to join us!  The girls will not be disappointed.

Next, even if you didn't sign up for the bonfire, you are still welcome to come and join us for the evening.  We will be awarding badges that the girls worked on over the summer and many other things.  The weather is looking to be just picture perfect!  Don't miss out.....

We are once again going to be letting the girls design the troop t-shirts.  Please encourage the artistic side of your girls and have THEM design a t-shirt.  Ideally they should use clip-art pictures so that it is easier for putting on the shirts.  We need to limit colors to two or at most three colors to keep costs down.  Have them leave their designs in my mailbox at the next meeting.  If you have any questions, please email me at dtann@fuse.net.

KROGER CARDS

Last year the total income from the Kroger Cards was approximately $1100.  This paid many leader expenses that we did not have to pass along to families.  Here is how they work:

  1. You purchase a Neighborhood Rewards gift card from the troop for $5.  It comes with $5 loaded on it for you to use.
  2. When you go to Kroger, you put the amount on the card that you expect to spend.  This can even be done in the check out line, as long as it is before you check out.
  3. Every month that the total sales charged to the cards exceeds $5,000 we get a check for 4% of the sales
It really is that simple!  You can use it for your monthly gas purchases also.  Just sit back and watch the troop benefit while you don't spend one dime more than you normally spend on your family.  Please see Sonja Runstadler for your card at our next meeting.  It is important that we have as many families as possible participating.  Without this money, our dues must be increased to cover leader costs.

If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
