Women Inventors

This will be our final meeting to complete the Women Inventor's badge.  At this meeting, you will have a chance to see what your children have been working on for the last three meetings.

At 5:00, we will have a special local inventor speak with the girls about what is involved in filing for a patent.  When he is finished, the girls will have a chance to show you their drawings and invention ideas that they have been working to complete.  The Pioneer/Patriot girls will be sharing their slogans and jingles for the inventions that they have made.

If your daughter has missed any of the last three meetings, it is your responsibility to get with their leader to find out what they missed and to complete that work.  Some of the girls still need to make lists of patents and do some research into who holds the patents.

Finally, if your daughter has any invention that she has been working on outside of troop time, then please, by all means, have her bring it!  We will be having a Young Inventor's Day and this can easily include any and all work done outside of troop time.  Many of the girls did not draw or describe their Oreo cookie invention.  If you would have your child take some time to do this, including words to describe the cookie, and bring this to the meeting, that would be great.  The drawings the girls did had no words, so it is a little hard to figure out what they were thinking :-)

Have a blessed day!
